OIC 19. Oriental Institute Discoveries in Iraq, 1933/34: Fourth Preliminary Report of the Iraq Expedition
Henri Frankfort, with a chapter by Thorkild Jacobsen
This report describes progress of the excavations at Tell Asmar (led by Thorkild Jacobsen), Khafaje (led by Pinhaz Delougaz), and Khorsabad (led by Gordon Loud). Made known here is a representative collection of the monuments discovered at these three sites, as it will take some years to prepare them for final publication. The discoveries of these excavations add to the much debated chronology of the early dynastic period.
