SCAN Newsletter

 

Founded by George and Teddy Goldberg in September 1977, SCAN Newsletter was one of the first trade publications to document the field of automatic identification and data capture (including barcode scanning and related technologies) and its application in the retail industry, manufacturing, distribution, transportation, health care, communications, and federal and local government operations. Full-text coverage spans from September 1977 to December 1996. Materials contained within this collection are part of the AIDC 100 Archives and Research Library at Special Collections and University Archives. The George Goldberg Memorial Digitization Project is dedicated in honor of AIDC industry pioneer George Goldberg (1925-2003). With generous support from the Goldberg family and members of the AIDC 100 organization, both SCAN Newsletter and SCAN Newsletter: International Edition have been digitized and are freely accessible online.
